So I made this afgan for my mom for Mother's Day. And I was late getting it done. I had it done by the Wensday after Mother's Day. (Not to bad, this pattern was deceptively slow. ) Anyways, the reason it was majorly belated was that I bought the yarn and pick out the pattern to make this afgan for my mom 3 years ago. Yes, that's right it took me 3 years to make this afgan. Actually, I stared it 3 years ago, got what I call project ADD and didn't come back to it untill this year. Once I started working on it again it only took about a few days.
In case you're wondering project ADD is a special condition that I get when I am working on a crochet or knitting project and get bored because it is taking to long to finish and I start another project. But I think that this afgan has cured me of my project ADD because eventhough it took a while to get done it was pretty good feeling to FINALLY get it done. And I'm ready to get started on my next afgan. (More on that to follow.
The pattern for this afgan was the Vintage Lace Pattern in the book Heirloom Afgans, I got my copy at Joann's. The yarn was Red Heart Super Saver, color: pale yellow (the pattern said 5 skiens of yarn, I ended up using 5 1/2 skiens).
